Illustrate A Comic

American Splendor, the movie, kinda came and went like a whisper in terms of box-office draw but to comic afficionados this was the equivalent of a Godfather, or a Gone With The Wind. Primo stuff. The film’s promo site even gives the opportunity for budding artists to Illustrate a Comic (next-to-last button along the top), where obscenely-talented Phrodo (as well as other know-nothings) has illustrated a Harvey Pekar-penned storyline, under the name “Colin Dwyer.” Think of it as “Am I Hot Or Not” for drawing nerds. Vote early, vote often!

You have exactly one week to feast your eyes on my non-site, UAIOE. I really, really had meant to do wonderful things with that webspace, whether music related or not (“UAIOE” is the title to a song by ol’ skool industrialists KMFDM) but, alas, my year of “owning” the domain will expire on the 10th and as you may have guessed I’m simply not in-the-money enough to throw money at stuff I’m not working on. C’est la vie.
