Provided HTML/CSS for Beta launch of ParentsConnect, premier community and information resource for parents, with emphasis on adherence to web standards (XHTML 1.0 Transitional). Using Interwoven Teamsite versioning and proprietary CMS. Currently investigating feasibility of Drupal sitewide integration.

Feb 2006-June 2006: Web Developer - New York Times, New York, NY
Provided HTML/CSS for nytimes.com April 2006 relaunch from existing designs, with emphasis on adherence to web standards, support for an extraordinarily wide variety of user agents (eg, Netscape 4.0+) and seamless integration with legacy content and content management system. Utilized CVS versioning in Solaris OS environment.

Developed web code for theteachingcomission.org site redesign. Implemented Macromedia Dreamweaver/Contribute CMS and configured CGI.

Feb 2004: GEAC, Tampa, FL
Created CSS/Javascript code driving the UI to GEAC’s Evolution, a web-based, .NET-Framework-savvy B2B accounting application. Also consulted on usability and information design issues arising from development.

Jan 2004: Tampa Bay Water, Clearwater, FL
Based on interviews with principals and direct observation, created an information design framework around which to redesign TBW’s information-dense website. Also developed a series of UI mockups based on my recommendations and a presentation document outlining observations and suggestions.

Helped to build and maintain one of the top e-commerce destinations on the web. Also working to enhance the HSN brand and that of our partners at USAi and beyond. Heavily leveraged MS .NET technologies (IIS, ASP.NET, SQL Server 2000), Macromedia MX Studio (Dreamweaver, Homesite, Flash) and global internet standards (HTML, JavaScript, CSS). Advised on usability concerns surrounding the 2003 site redesign.

Devised web-based user interfaces for client's web B2B and B2C applications, including illustration, media production and editing, and client-side scripting. 1999–2000: Vitalcast.com, Tampa, FL
Web Designer, Illustrator, Graphic Designer and Information Architect for partnership between leading alternative-health radio talk show and newly-founded online health portal. Designed marketing collateral and online advertising (banners and interstitials). Devised web-based UI for client's web applications (streaming radio and e-commerce), including all illustration, media production and editing, and client-side scripting.

Graphic Designer and Production Artist. Assisted in the production (page layout, scanning, photo retouching) of the January, 1997 issue of high-brow, limited-circulation audiophile magazine.

Graphic Designer, Illustrator, Production Artist. Lead and sole designer, produced everything from quick-print one-color jobs to full-fledged, short-run four-color offset jobs for varied clientele. Moderate to heavy customer contact in a retail setting.
